Since I graduated High school in 1994 I started the journey of professionally doing hair.
I started out at a small salon sweeping hair and cleaning out shampoo bowls where my Grandmother got her hair done in Bloomfield Hills. No longer in business I moved on from Robert & Charles Salon to Heidi’s Salons. From answering phones at the front desk to assisting 2 senior hair stylists and eventually getting my own chair. Heidi’s salon changed names in 2005 to Tricho Salon and Spa . I spent 14 more years there before settling up residence at One Salon. I loved working with that group of talented Hair stylist.
2019 I opened Hair by Stacey Cline. A private Salon Suite in Downtown Northville.
This was career changing. Through the pandemic it was the best thing I could have ever done. Being able to provide a safe and clean environment for my clients . The timing couldn’t have better. I only had 1 Covid situation and it turned out not to be a situation at all ( contact tracing ). I still provide masks for the safety of myself and my client in my chair. I have been the sole owner of Hair by Stacey Cline now for 5 years. Downtown Northville has been good to me. I’ve recently moved my Salon to be on Main st in downtown Northville. The view is superb .
DOWN TO BUSINESS
Being Hair Dresser is still my dream job. My dream career. I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. I see family’s grow, help make special days happen whether it’s Homecoming, Prom or the BIG wedding day.
I’ve also grieved loosing Mother’s, Father’s, Children and pets. Listened about your divorce or break up. Loosing your job and getting a new one. I have definitely heard some personally stories. My list can go on and on. I have been in this business for a long time and watched it change . And the 250 registered clients have made it possible. I Thank You all for your loyalty and Support. I know without you there is no Hair by Stacey Cline.
This is the hard part……
Over the past 3 years a lot has changed. Between the way that I color hair to inflation. I don’t just add in some highlights like I did in the past. You can all thank social media for being virtual Beauty school now. Highlighting is now called Blonding services. Customized by how many weeks you decided to book between services. I cannot fairly charge a client that repeats an appointment every 4 weeks the same as a client that chooses to book every 6 or even 8 weeks for the same color service. I use more product. Over the last 3 years color has doubled in price. Not to mention after the pandemic all my coloring and non coloring supplies nearly doubled. Geez….Going to the grocery store has doubled. None of us are oblivious to how the last 4 years has changed how much we pay for things now.
With all that being said I’ve had to revamp my menu of services . For coloring and Blonding services I have priced it based on weeks between your visits. Understand, I cannot fairly charge a root touch up on someone that is on a schedule of every 4 weeks the same as someone that has gone beyond 6 weeks. Even if you are touching up at home. I have a client history log. I know when you were last in. Even if your aunt or cousin touched you up 4 weeks ago, I have a client history. My professional color is not the same as your aunt or cousins.
You cannot argue with Target, DTE or your house service call on your furnace. I have to take the personal side out of this and be a business that can survive in today’s economy. I hope you all can understand. It’s not just hair to me , this is how I pay my bills .
I’m offering a small business discount of 5% off your service when paying with cash, check or Venmo. This will not apply to retail or Bellami hair. The installation service can receive the 5% small business discount.

Please review my cancelation policy. My service schedule books out on average 6-8 weeks. Evening appointments are booked up for 8 weeks . I do have a cancelation list. Just like the Dentist I book appointments way out throughout the year. I can be as hard to reschedule as the dentist. Also, dentist will charge for last minute cancellation and no show appointments. I will do I the same. That has also changed with the times. I understand sickness ( refer to my cancelation policy page). And weather situations. I also know who the repeat offenders are too. I ask if you are prebooking an appointment please be sure. If you are someone that has a lot come up and you do cancel with notice over and over. Please refrain from prebooking. Conveniently I offer online booking. If you are unsure of the service you need to book , please contact via text or you can count on it 100% I will contact you if the service is booked incorrectly.
24 hours Grace is what I can provide with replying to messages.
If you are planning on changing your hair color please contact me with a 48 hour notice with your request. My service menu is based on retouch and the last service you booked. I do not have endless inventory of color. I would need to make sure I have the supplies need to meet your service requests. Changing your hair color is not a retouch. It is considered a correction color and will need to be consulted first. Also, depending on the change the price will be reflected. Could be charge up to $90. An hour. I do not do vivid color or carry them in my salon.
